Hire a Musician
One of the aims of Dutch Guitar Foundation is to stimulate the connection between young professional musicians, potential organisers and the audience. We strive to enrich the current concert scene and offer more performing opportunities to young musicians of top quality – guitarists, orchestras and accompanists. Take a look around and let us know if you have any questions!
Young Guitarists of DGF
The guitar is a very unique instrument: it does not require an accompanist to provide a complete music experience, it’s easily transportable and it has a very intimate and colourful sound. These unique characteristics make the guitarists suitable for any venue and any occasion: concerts, recitals, exhibition openings, celebrations or business meetings – guitarists can perform anywhere! With its versatile repertoire including Baroque, Spanish, Brazilian, Balkan, Nordic, Russian, Classical, Romantic or modern music, a classical guitarist can complement most diverse themes – and if we currently don’t have in our repertoire what you need, we can arrange music easily! Would you prefer to have two, three, four or more guitarists in an ensemble for your event? Let us know and we will try to find a guitar ensemble for you! Dutch Guitar Foundation is proud to be supporting young professional guitarists and their development.
DGF Accompanists are specialised in accompanying classical guitar: they know the instrument and its dynamic range, they know how to work with numerous colours of guitar and most importantly they know the classical guitar repertoire – Rodrigo, Lobos, Ponce, Brouwer, Ohana, you name it! Do you need an accompanist for a project that does not involve guitar? Let us know and we will check if we might have someone available for you.
The DGF Orchestra is specialised in the concerto genre: accompanying soloists at concerts and competitions is the artistic core of this exclusive ensemble! However, its members are experienced in diverse contexts – standard concerto repertoire for all instruments, symphonic repertoire, early and modern music. The key-feature of DGF Orchestra is its transformative character: depending on hirer’s needs they can perform any repertoire in any formation and appear either as a small ensemble, chamber string group, stand-alone full symphonic ensemble or a non-standard formation. The DGF Orchestra is based in Groningen, but can be hired anywhere in the Netherlands and abroad.
